Beat the Reaper by Josh Bazell

You need to read this book! It's originial , funny , fast paced , with sharp dialogue. Dr. Peter Brown aka Pietro Brnwa aka "the Bearclaw" is an intriguing character. The unlikely combination of a Mafia hit man and a doctor is fascinating. It is shocking what a person will do to survive. The book has medical knowledge , a glimspe of life in the Mafia , sharks , the Federal Witness Protection Program , and romance. This is the first novel by Josh Bazell and I eagerly await his second novel.
Beat the Reaper is terrific !!!!!

Run For Your LIfe by James Patterson

NYPD Manhattan Detective Michael Bennett is trying to catch the "Teacher," a smart maniac with a chameleon act who is murdering people who have wronged him. Patterson adds layers to an involved plot with unexpected twists. I thought I had the book figured out and then Patterson takes the plot on a different track. Action packed , but it has message of importance of family, kindness , and respect of others. This is a must read !!!
