Robert B. Parker paints vivid pictures in a few precise words.
Painted Ladies is about the Holocaust and stolen art. Boston PI Spenser traces the painting "Lady with a Finch". Something or someone is fraudulent. How does an unplanned pregnancy effect the characters? Is there evidence to prove a swindle?
Painted Ladies is also a continuing love between Spenser and Susaan and a new love between two dogs.
I will miss Robert B. Parker's novels! Be sure to read his last book.

WOW!!! Astonishing!!!
The First Rule is the thieves code for organized criminal gangs of the former Soviet Union. There is a tangle of ancient grudges,vengeance and blood ties.
Joe pike and Elvis Cole take care of their own and are plunged into a terrible world. I could not stop reading. Fast paced and a great read!!!
