Eclipse by Richard North Patterson

Richard North Patterson is one of my favorite authors. Eclipse is an intense thriller that involves lethal politics and the brutal government of a West African nation. The book reflects our world's lust for oil.The fear and hopelessness of a West African nation is evident throughout the book.
Damon Pierce, a California lawyer , risks everything including his life. Damon helps Bobby Okari , leader of a freedom movement , who leads a protest rally during a full eclipse of the sun. General Savior Karama , the autocratic ruler , massacres everyone in Bobby's home village. Bobby is arrested and charged with murder. Damon defends Bobby in a dramatic trial. This book is hold your breath supense. Eclipse makes me realize the value of our American justice system. Richard North Paterson's latest work of fiction is very provocative and a commentary on our times. Eclipse is a storm of chilling intensity.

The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski

The Story of Edgar Sawtelle is similar to Shakespeare's Hamlet , but with dogs. It's long and wordy for my tastes . There's lots of books in the world to satisfy all reading styles. Maybe you will enjoy it , but I didn't. I did not feel it was worth my time .Try the book and see what you think.
