Ford County by John Grisham

This novel is very enjoyable!!! It takes place in a southern rural county and has lots of interesting characters. They remind me of some people I knew as I was growing up. The book highlights peculiar happenings in Ford County. Enjoy and reminisce!!! A great read!!!

This book makes me want to go to Montana and ride horses to enjoy the scenery.

Michael Connelly remains one of my top favorite authors. 9 dragons is excellent!!! I read this in one sitting.
Detective Harry Bosch investigates a murder uncovering a link to a Hong Kong triad and the secret societies of China. Harry travels to a place in Hong Kong known as Nine Dragons(Kowloon). Harry risks everything to find his daughter in Nine Dragons. He faces criminal charges in Hong Kong while running the investigation in L.A.
Michael Connelly's 9 Dragons reaches a conclusion only to find out things are not what they seem to be!!! Wow!!! Fantastic!!!!

Richard North Patterson is one of my favorite authors. The Spire is a love story and a gripping suspense novel.
Mark Darrow is a scholarship student and the star quarterback at the local college. Mark becomes a successful lawyer. At the request of his college professor, Lionel Farr, Mark returns to guide his alma mater as president. He investigates an embezzlement scandal that threatens the college.
Sixteen years ago, Mark discovered the body of a black female scholarship student at the base of the Spire, the bell tower that dominates the campus. Mark's best friend is in prison for life convicted of the murder.
Mark has many challenges leading the college, inquiries into the murder, blackmail, and the Vietnam war. The novel is also a touching love story as Mark falls in love with Lionel Farr's daughter.
The Spire is a good read!!!

Terrorists hold hostages inside a secret society's windowless stone tomb on the Yale campus. Hostages are Yale students who are children of America's VIPs. The terrorists are not al Queda nor the Taliban. Damaging information is traded by VIP parents for their children's safety.
The novel highlights how vulnerable America is to inventive forms of terrorism.
The Siege is chilling!!!!

Michael Connelly is one of my favorite authors. Scarecrow is an internet security business. The book concerns the crashing newspaper economy and the shift of society to the internet for news and advertising.
Jack McEnvoy,a veteran crime reporter for the Los Angeles Times, is laid off and has one last story to write. Jack is antiquated and assigned internet savy reporter Angela Cook.
Jack connects a L.A. trunk murder with an earlier similar murder. FBI special agent and profiler Rachel Walling is asked to resign because of Jack and his investigation. The killer uses the internet to track Jack and has complete knowledge of every move Jack makes. Jack uses years of knowledge as a crime reporter to seek the killer.

Extreme Measures is a fast paced and intense thriller. I did not put it down and read it in one night. Vince Flynn keeps me reading and wanting more of his books!!!

You need to read this book! It's originial , funny , fast paced , with sharp dialogue. Dr. Peter Brown aka Pietro Brnwa aka "the Bearclaw" is an intriguing character. The unlikely combination of a Mafia hit man and a doctor is fascinating. It is shocking what a person will do to survive. The book has medical knowledge , a glimspe of life in the Mafia , sharks , the Federal Witness Protection Program , and romance. This is the first novel by Josh Bazell and I eagerly await his second novel.

Run For Your LIfe by James Patterson

Patterson adds layers to an involved plot with unexpected twists. I thought I had the book figured out and then Patterson takes the plot on a different track. Action packed , but it has message of importance of family, kindness , and respect of others. This is a must read !!!

I See You Everywhere by Julia Glass

I enjoyed this more than I anticipated. I usually prefer action. It's about the relationship between two sisters separated by distance and years of accumulated feelings. They learn about each other , the love , the sorrow , and the bond between sisters. The characters are well developed and remind me of people I've known. It's a touching and heartrending story. I cried , sighed , and laughed. I have recommended this book to my daughter.
