Back of Beyond by C.J. Box
Wilderness horseback trip.
Several agendas.
Yellowstone National Park, compelling characters, fast paced plot, and suspense ensured that I finish the book before I could sleep. Wow !!!!

Son of Stone by Stuart Woods
What a disappointment!!!
The regular characters were there, but not as Stuart Woods usually portrays them.
Very little sleuthing.
No mystery to solve.
Fast paced dialogue but lacking depth.
Just fluff and sex.

The Woodcutter by Reginald Hill
Wolf and Woodcutter
Prison and Justice
Wolf Hadda is convicted and sent to prison. He looks for justice in his own way. Throughout Wolf's entire life he is driven by grim necessity. He does not take anything for granted. Wolf is a great character!!!
This book reminds me of my favorite novel "Prisoner of Birth." An excellent read!!! Superb!!!

Murder One by Robert Dugoni
Coincidence
Manipulation
Murder One is a legal thriller and David Sloane is known as the attorney that never loses. David Sloane, a civil litigator, is the defense attorney in his first criminal case. Murder One has legal strategy and lots of courtroom drama. The importance of Sloane's attention to detail and his innate ability to interact with jurors is evident throughout the book. As with any defense attorney, Sloane depends on the legal team's research.
There are lots of twists.
Can you stay one step ahead of developments?
There's more after the trial!!! A great read !!!

Portrait of a Spy by Daniel Silva
Art
Intelligence
Daniel Silva is my FAVORITE author !!!
Portrait of a Spy is SUPERB !!!!!
Gabriel Allon devises a plan to track the flow of money through the terrorist network hoping to locate the terrorism mastermind. The book highlights the treatment of Muslin women in Arab life. The courage depicted is amazing against the worst evil nightmare come to life. The ending of the novel will remain you for a long time.
I was up until the wee hours reading !!!!!
